About LCD
A flat panel display known as an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) operates primarily using liquid crystals. In addition to appearing, different LCD screens also perform very differently. An LCD has a backlight that supplies a light source to individual pixels organized in a rectangular grid rather than shooting electrons at a glass panel. Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) sub-pixels are present in every pixel and can be turned on or off. It appears dark when all of a pixel’s sub-pixels are off.

The primary distinction between TFT and LCD is that TFT is a component of, or a version of, LCD used to enhance the quality of the image on the screen. In contrast, LCD is a class of various displays that utilize liquid crystal properties to create what it is and do not emit light directly.
While an LCD is a family of displays that exploits modulating features of liquid crystals to generate what we call an LCD (liquid crystal display), which does not emit light directly, a TFT is a variation of an LCD that uses thin film transistor technology to increase image quality.
